Hi guys, noob here. I have a roughly 2 year old Toshiba NB with 2g ram and Vista home premium. altho it is was quirky the first few months I has it, it has been running smoothly ever since with one occasional issue.
After putting it to sleep, every now and then when I attempt to wake it up it reboots and brings me to the green-blue log in screen--but it is blank, no Welcome, no log in box, etc. I wait and wait and nothing.
I then unplug the AC, flip the computer over, remove the battery, reinsert, and power up. It then boots up fine, with the exception of the black screen that says Vista did not shut down properly, and asks how I wish to start Vista, and I always choose
run windows normally.
Then the log in screen appears as if nothing went wrong, I log in, and all's well. I might add this is an occasional annoyance, and always happens after I choose "sleep" when finished the day before. If I choose shutdown, it never happens.
Any suggestions would be appreciated. thanks JB
