install a canon imageclass printer d760 in windows 64 vista
I got a new computer today ( a gift) runing vista home premium 64 bit.
All exited, transferred all my data from my old and reliable HP (running xp pro), but my excitment ended when I wanted to add my laser printer. Dowoloaded the newest driver from canon site but it is a 32 bit driver and canon does not have a 64 bit version. I have read all over that it is possible still to install a 32 bit version of software and make it run, but everytime I go through the add printer I got a message saying,
"The folder you specified does not contain a compatible software driver for your device. If the folder contains a driver make sure it is designed to work with windows for x64-based systems."
Can anybody help me with this?
Many thanks.
