Out of the blue will not accept password - says username and password not valid - any ideas how to fix this - my computer is on strike and won't let me in!

Passwords are used to help stop unauthorized access. So I doubt anyone including myself will tell directly what to do. Your best friend right now would be google. If you google "find passwords freeware" without the quotes you will have some options to try.
