Min CPU speed setting keeps changing to 100%
My CPU keeps overheating, and the safety cutout steps in and off goes my HTPC. I found deep in the power settings a Minimum Processor Speed setting and this was set to 100%. I changed it down - right down, and things were ok. Then my HTPC started crashing again - check in those settings and they were back up to 100%. I have gone through this routine many many times, and I'm pretty sure my CPU is getting slowly but surely fried. Does anyone have any ideas what could be causing this problem? Is theere anything I can do to prevent it happening? I utterly guarantee no one else has access to change it manually.
