hi guys after trying to intsall service pack 1 for vista update my pc crashed tried to restart in safe mode i get blue screen of death recovery console blue screen and bios has also been messed up please advise need help thanks i have no vista cd as it was a oem came with pc if you need more info please ask me i will tell you thanks how do i repair my bios i cant even get into bios black screen i cant use recovery console blue screen or safe mode please advise do i need to flash my bios to get it back how it was please help vista heads please

Hopefully you already have the original or updated bios file if so you should be able to flash and reinstall. You usually won't be able to get another bios chip from the mother board manufacturer as they only run off enough for specific boards. It could be you have a legacy device that the driver is not able to run with the update. I have had this problem with ATI who is now owned by AMD and also with nvidia drivers as the hardware won't accept the new update and function and if that is the case start in safe mode and set your video card setting back to a lower setting.
