Update of Net framework 3.5 service pack 1 and sql server 2005 service pack 3 does not complete-hangs during install
I have been attempting to install these updates in my HP with abundant disk space without success, many times. Each time it runs for hours, then continues after shutdown. When I come back the next morning, it is still running, after 8 hours! I have to do a master reset (holding the power button), then restart, go to safe mode, then restart from there. It comes up normally after that but the updates were not installed. These updates are almost a gig each in size. But there's plenty of room. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.
