Windows calendar - reminder failure

This morning, before I had even booted up Windows Calendar, up popped a message telling me that I had missed yesterday's (important) appointment.

Yesterday, when I was working on the PC, no such reminder was given when I needed it.

I gather from other posts on the web that this is an old problem.
Anybody know whether it has been fixed, or when it will be fixed?

Well i'd say there is only one way to find out, Try marking another important date on your calender, then wait for it to remind you if it doesn't then no. You can also [If you don't have automatic update on] Just check the updates you download , it usually says what the update is and all it's doing, if it's still broken contact microsoft.
