I don't know exactly what they implemented, but that could be the reason that it won't read burned CD's. As far as not reading any CD's, that might just be a hardware problem on your computer. I would take it to a Computer Store (preferably not Best Buy) and ask them to take a look at it. Unless you feel like buying an external disc drive.
Thanks for replying, I can play DVD's that I burned myself it's just the CD's that have trouble. I have a external DVD-RW that plays both DVD & CD's, so it must be the DVD-ROM that is iffey. The PC is only a few weeks I will let the store sort it out.
