vista installing bsod

hello all, this is my first post on this website so please be kind. i formatted my hard drive for many reasons and ive been trying to install vista home premium but wenever it starts to extract files a bsod comes up, the bsod is normally 000003b or 00000d1. how do i stop this from happening so that i can install vista?

Ok I have 2 properly formatted Raptor 150gb HDs non raid. One has Xp installed and runs fine, the other is for game installs etc. I have tried everything to get my copy of Vistahttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Windows_Vista prem upgrade to install and when it gets to the final part where the desktop should come up, I get the BSODhttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blue_Screen_of_Death ! I have read where alot of other people are having or had the same issue.
