Snipping Tool Problem

Just joined because of an unsolvable Snipping Tool problem. Snipping Tool stopped working. I found the Snippingtool.exe file on a backup I had. Tried to copy it to the correct location. I was not allowed to rename the old file (that was not working). Used the Tool from another location for a while. The new executable stopped working.

I just get a red X when I try to open it.

Does anyone have a solution to this problem?
