Popping noise when playing music while Photos screensaver running
I have an HP Pavillion dv9212tx laptop with HDMI sound/video output. I connect the laptop to my home theatre system when I'm at home and usually use iTunes to play my music collection.
This works perfectly well, except that when the screensaver kicks in (I use the built in Vista Photos screensaver), although iTunes continues to play, the sound is interrupted a bit with the kind of popping/spitting noises you get if you wiggle a sound plug in its socket while something is playing - e.g. using a mic and fiddling with the plug).
I haven't seen posts anywhere to suggest anyone else has this problem.
Any suggestions?
(Another forum has suggested disabling the screensaver and sure, that does it, but it misses the point!)
