Sync Treo 700wx with Vista 64 bit and internet connection

If you are having trouble getting your Palm 700wx with your computer, using internet tether or syncing it with you data, ask me. I figured it out when no one else seems to have a clue. I really stumbled upon it and it is super simple. Palm says it can't be done. It can.

I have a Palm 700 wx, previously used with XP; got new computer running Vista - 64 bit. Will not sync, will not recognize Palm. Spent hours with Verizon Wireless - says it's a Vista problem and will get back with me - that was 4 days ago. Any advice?

Dear sassytlizzie,
Don't expect help from anyone at the companies. I had really sympathetic friends and geeks who tried and got nowhere. I accidentally found out how to link my alltel 700wx with a dongle for internet with my computer. You have to go to microsoft and download their Windows Mobile Device Center. When you do that and plug your device in, it will sync. Vista 64 bit does not work with regular Windows sync. Hope this helps. Mine does everything now.
