hi gents,

after vista sp1, a very strange situation has been occured in windows explorer in vista hp:

the root folder of my external hdd (wd mybook 500gb connected with usb 2.0) looks awful! there are big folder icons but no titles under each of them.

Right click the open drive and play with the view tab...that may help.
