DVD not reading disks
My Dell M1330 had a problem reading disks so after some time with their support and running their diagnostics they dispatched a tech who installed a new drive. Before the replacement I told them the drive could write a disk, but not read it...although it could then be read on other systems.
Symptom = insert disk, right click and try to open, get error message "Insert Disk" and it ejects disk.
After the replacement didn't solve the problem I spent an hour with Dell's "Gold Support" and we tried the solutions recommended by Dell and Microsoft...still no improvement. Dell gave up and said at this point the only solution is to reinstall the OS .... Ugh!!!
Any suggestions??
