Cannot Open Old Works Files
When I bought a new laptop it did not come with WORKS installed. I purchased a WORKS 9 and installed it. While I was at I also installed it on my desktop as well. (I do not have WORD installed on either machine.)
Now I cannot open old (2005, 2006) WORKS word processor files. I'm told "THE FILE MAY NOT BE SUPPORTED BY ANY OF THE INSTALLED CONVERTERS."
I can still open them by using an older desktop that is still running XP.
What can I do to get my Vista computers with WORKS 9 installed to open earlier vesions of WORKS? Must I buy WORD and if I did would that do the trick?
By the way my old spreadsheet files in WORKS are not affected. They open just fine. It's only the Word Processor files that won't open.
I hope someone out there knows the solution for this and will get me past this roadblock.
