Can no longer print to connected or network printer
Particulars:
Toshiba laptop running Windows Vista Home Premium SP1
From one day to the next, I can't print to either a USB connected printer or a networked printer.
Symptoms:
USB Connected Printer is online and ready. Print to the printer - it goes offline. Change back to online but no printing.
Networked printer - has a document in the queue that won't go away.
I've tried stopping the spooler??.exe and then going to the printers but then NO printers are shown in the printer area.
I took the system back to June 12 to see if the June 22 Windows update caused the problem but that didn't work either. I've deleted the printers and reinstalled. Also, no change.
BTW - Trying to do a system Restart either sometimes works or takes at least one minute b4 it will kick off.
There are definitely problems in Vista land! Should I just do a recovery/full rebuild??? Or is there a much easier solution.
Thanks in advance!!!
