wifi loses wan connectivity

anyone know why my wifi connectivity drops to "local access only" after Ive been on the internet awhile; when I use the windows repair tool and it gives me the option to reset the network adapter and I do it usually gets it going again, but sometimes not. somebody help please

Hey mate, i get the same thing. I got Vista Home premium. Have you tried Diagnose & Repair? It worked for me.

Happened to me too.
I download and installed Service Pack 1; that did the trick for me.

Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't; I believe it is a problem with the router where i am; I don't have home internet yet so I go to the local library where they have a hotspot; I usually don't have a problem, but every now and then it loses internet connectivity and just shows "local access only" when I select diagnose and repair, it sometimes gives me the message that it cannot be repaired automatically or contact the isp. I have Vista home premium servce pack 1. It hasn't happened at all since I have been to another hotspot
