Parental Controls not working
Hi All,
I'm having a problem with parental control that others seem to have experience but with seemingly no resolution.
I am the administrator and I cannot set any parental controls for other standard users I have created. When I enter the parental controls screen I am prompted by the "windows needs your permission" screen which I allow. I then select a user who has been set up as a standard user.
Interestingly there is a brief flicker past a screen that seems to be asking me if I want to turn on or off parental controls before it disappears then a "Windows parental controls" window comes up with the message "unable to make changes to parental controls settings. If this problem persists, see your system administrator". This window actually comes up twice (overlapping).
I have tried enabling the hidden administrator account to see if this is a work around and it is not.
i.e I cannot set parental controls even using the hidden administrator.
I've not found a solution anywhere else for this.
My spec:
Windows Vista 64 Home Premium
Intel Duao Quad Core Q9450
Gigabyte GS-P35C_DS3R mobo
4 GB Geil DDR2 PC6400 Black Dragon RAM
Nvidia 9800GTX
Suggestions welcome as I need to stop my wife/son accidentally accessing the overclocking application amongst other things.
Cheers
