Performance Report on my System

I have a 2007 Gateway, laptop, MX8738 w/Windows Vista, Home Premium OS. For some reason my system has gone into a slow reply when I attempt to select options or various screens I try to enter different options, to no avail, except by right-clicking the option and selecting "modify". Lastly, I ran the "Perfotmance Information and Tools" option and receive the below 2 errors. I performed the first 3 steps of each error, but did not attempt to do the fourth for lack of knowledge. I would appreciate any assistance on this matter. Thanking you in advance!
