can't use Outlook Web mail from Vista Home premium desktop

I can log into my corporate Outlook Exchange Web mail from my Vista Home premium desktop and display and delete emails fine but when using reply/forward or create new messages, the message body doesn't appear to exist and you cannot enter anything. Just sits there with a white box and that frustrating little red cross. The error message is pretty obtuse but indicates that object is not available.

But to add further insult to injury you can send the email (without anything in the place where the message body would be) and it in the inbox with no message body???XXX!!??

Got me stumped - any ideas
