Well after a year of having my computer it dawned on me that I could use windows media center to play music, video and dvds. So I tried to add music to the libary yesterday, but nothing happened. It kept saying "searching for files" for hours and hours but never added anything. Then I installed a bunch of updates including Vista SP1 last night, hoping that would work. Nope. Today I tried to add music to the library and I get this message: "A necessary component of windows media center is currently not available. Please restart Windows Media Center." I'm at my wits end. I'm thinking about reinstalling Vista Home Premium or perhaps upgrading to Vista Ultimate. I'm not sure what to do and I really need help here. Hope someone can help me.
