Vista update error code 80200053
whenever I try to download the updates I get a code error 80200053

Please visit Genuine Microsoft Software and click on the Validate Windows button.

After validation please retry the updates,,

This did nothing for me. In my case, it looks like a network card or some other device is corrupting the data during download. I can download the update on a disk from another computer and it installs fine.
