driver update Nvidia Geforce 8400 gs

When I update my nvidia driver, I can`t turnoff my computer.

Lexy - could you give us information about the machine. What Brand, Model and especially what Video card.

Then also, how did you update the driver, was it a manual download you found yourself (what source) or was it through the Windows Update? (I have had several Nvidia updates load as part of the Microsoft update).

BTW - I have my Microsoft update set to notifiy me and I choose which updates to install and when.

The first time it happend with autoupdate
Then i trayded it from the nvidia site, but it happend again.

Hi lexy,

what happens when you try to turn off your PC, do you get an error message?

After your PC fails to turn off can you have a look in the Event Viewer and see if there are any error messages,
