Not a genuine copy

Hello all,

My vista would appear not to recognise it is genuine.

I have had the following message appear in the corner of the screen on a Dell Inspiron 6400 with a black screen

Windows Vista (TM)
Build 6000
This copy of Windows is not genuine,

It is asking for the Windows installation CD which it got but repeats this request after re-installing. I have tried a restore point but to no success.

It happens after logging normally.

Please advise how to solve.

Any help is gratefully received.
