Works cannot proof your document

Problem with Microsoft Works. When I try to edit or open any document I get the following message. " Works cannot proof your document because the file required for proofing are missing. Reinstall works to replace the missing files and try again. How can I reinstall Works as it came preinstalled on my computer.

Hi John,

the place you purchased the Pc from should have the original Works CD and should have given you a copy. I would contact them and get the original Works CD from them. They may also have an alternative means for you to get the files to reinstall Works.

One other thing you could try is to do an Update on your current Works setup and hope that the file you are missing is included in the update.

Have a look at Microsoft Works - Product Upgrades and Downloads and pick out your version of Works and run the update.
