USB modem won't connect, RAS 797 error
Hi All,
I have a vista laptop. I'm trying to connect to the net via a vodafone usb modem and getting the 797 error. The network is recognised but just won't connect.
This is what I've done so far:
1. reinstalled software
2. updated drivers, inc. mass storage, composite, modem, etc
3. deleted modem
4. used older software
5. changed administrator settings
6. made sure modem is default
in the 'available networks' the vodafone modem reads "modem removed - unavailable device ()
the event logs don't show anything helpful either.
I've tested the modem on XP and it works ok.
Anyone got any other things I can try?
