FixMbr NO vista disk
Hello all,
I am trying to fix the MBR of my Vista partition.
System: HP Pavillion 32 bit
I do not have a vista install disk due to the HD being preloaded.
I do have the system restore disks that I could use to reset to factory settings.
I definitely do not want to do that.
SO, I have download and burned the WAIK package for vista.
When at the cmd prompt and type
x:\windows\system32>Bootrec.ece/FixMbr
I get 'bootrec.exe' is not recognized as an internal or external command,
operable program or batch file.
if I type
x:\windows\system32>dir
bootrec is not there.
Any ideas?
