RDP from Vista to XP
Hi,
I am trying to get RDP working from my laptop to desktop. My laptop is running Vista Home Basic and the Desktop is XP professional SP2.
Both machines are connected to the same network (desktop via ethernet and laptop via wireless) but RDP continually fails. I can ping both machines from each other so I know the connectivity is there. I've disabled windows firewall (and other firewalls) at both ends but it still doesn't work. I can't open the windows firewall log on the vista laptop for some reason (gives me a access denied error message). I'm confident that all the required services are running on both machines but its still a no go.
Any other ideas?  |
