Major problem with windows vista audio jacks
ok, please anyone listen to this story, cause i cant find it ANYWHERE ON GOOGLE. i tried to find this answer everywhere, but realized i had to make my own account somewhere, and ask myself, here goes.
i am a simple gamer. minor comuter knowledge. basicly, i know how to plug this in and where to go to make things work and how to get around in the software.
but here is my problem, i use to have a mic and head phone (yes they are connected, a headset to be exact) pluged in at the front panel audio jacks using realtec HD audio. but, with the carelessness of a nephews mom, it got borken, and both pices are broke half way in, (as if you stuck them in and slice them right off).
Well, i bought a new HEADSET, logitec headset if it matters, and pluged the mic and headphone in the back panel.
now, it didnt work, so at first i thogth the computer was being tricked so i disabled front panel jack detections and muted the front panel jack, went to control panel, and disabled all front jacks, so the computer couldnt detect the metal stuck in there as if something was pluged in.
but, it does not work still.
and when i go to control panel/ sound manager, it says mic not pluged in (back panel) headphones not pluged in (back panel).but they are pluged in.
the headphones are working, its just the mic that isnt.
i think most of you understand the situation now,
please help? thanks,
