Vista Freezing, unable to find any solution
Hi all,
I'm having some problems with the Vista Home Basic installed on my sister's laptop; the laptop is a HP 6720s
2 weeks ago, she was experiencing some freeze, and I thought it could be some kind of virus.
Scanned with AntiVir, Avg and MalwareBytes: some virus found, removed 'em, i thought it was over.
Suddenly, a day later it started freezing over and over again.
I tried to monitor the CPU temperature, just to be sure it's not a overheating problem: the temperature ranges from 50° C to 64° (depending on the room), but it doesn't relate to the freeze anyway (yesterday it busted at 64°, today at 55°).
Seems like it freezes when nobody uses the laptop for 10 min circa; hibernation is off and standby mode activates after 8h or so.
When it freezes he only way to unlock the situation is an hard reset.
Also tried the Event Register: nothing relevant or suspicious before the "Unexpected Shutdown at xx:xx" record.
No new drivers installed, no critical files damaged, nothing. Just freezing.

Don't know what to do next...what should i try next?
