cannot download anything including windows updates
I have a pc running on Vista homebasic and recently, I started having trouble installing updates or downloading any programmes onto my computer. I am using internet explorer 8. I have tried downloading Firefox but am also having trouble. I get the below error messages. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
"windows cannot access the specified device, path or file. You may not have the appropriate permissions to access the item."
for update errors I get, "code 80070005 Windows update encountered an unknown error"
