OK....here is my crazy situation. I copied a friends Vista Home Basic install dvd to the second slaved drive on my system. At the time I didn't have a big enough usb drive to copy all of the install disk. And I do not have a dvd burner. Nor was I ready to install Vista over XP. The master drive on my system is running XP. My computer meets all of the install requirements of Vista. I was hoping that I could just boot up into XP...go to my computer...click on the second slaved drived , click onto the vista setup and install it over XP on my master drive. But no such luck.
Help!! When I do click on the setup icon...I get the Please wait curtain and then a 0x0 error. Is there anyway I can use this software? I just want to be able to upgrade my master drive OS from XP to Vista Home Basic. Any and all info is most appreciated!!!
