I bought a Vista computer at the beginning of the year and ever since I have had to send it back on average once every 1.5 months. My problem is that the computer loses internect connection and then fails to find the connection again through a cable that I know works as it works fine for my other XP computers.
Even more annoying, everytime I send it back to the company I bought it from they claim to find no problems with it and it manages to connect to their internet network without any trouble. They return it to me and it works fine again. At the expense of £10 ($18).
1. Sleep mode is disabled and it cannot go into sleep or hibernation mode unless I put it in one deliberately which I don't.
2. My connection works like this: The Router is connected to a XP computer. An Ethernet cable leads from this router up my stairs to the back of my Vista PC.
3. When I hover my cursor over the connection symbol (bottom-right of desktop) it states: "Unidentified Network" "Access: Local Only".
P.S. Could it be I'm just unlucky as it seems every computer I purchase as problems of some nature
P.S.S. That was a joke.
