Streamed video- ie Youtube

Hi,
I've got an acer laptop (aspire 2920) with Vista. I can't watch anything streamed on youtube or news sites as it's jolty. Is there a patch or something I can download to improve this? Playback of iplae stuff and DVDS is great and brfoadband speed etc is fine.
