Vista Basic Internet Connection Problem
Hello.
I'm having a consistent problem here with my laptop running Vista Home Basic. My internet connection is set to "DHCP Enabled", Network Groupname: MSHOME. I'm connecting with a UTP-5 cable to a HP-J2610B hub, and the rest of the PC's in the house run XP. So, when I plug-in the cable into my laptop, the hub is blinking in red and green, the connection between my PC and the hub is green, and when it blinks, also it blinks the "Collision" lamp. But i don't know where is the problem. Why can't connect simply as that to the internet?!
Also, my cable network connection goes like, "Enabled" and "Network Cable Unplugged".
It's confusing, and I tried my best to solve it,my complete knowledge in Networking, but no use.
Can somebody help me out in this?!
