SATA / IDE Controller Problems
Running Vista Home 32bit on a Presario SR2150NX (basically out of the box with all upgrades installed). (I have done a complete system restore and rebuild and the problem persists. I even purchased a new DVD unit and replaced it but same problem.)
DVD (IDE) will not recognize cds dvds etc.
also often Harddrive (SATA) runs at snails pace (5 minutes to load IE)
I have a feeling it has to do with DMA which is only an option on the Channel 0 devices (but if I disable DMA i am able to slowly read cds although playing music cds is choppy and very digital)
How do I get SATA and IDE to play nicely together?
Please help.
