Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library Error

I recently got a new laptop with Windows Vista. I use a Sprint 500 Pantech broadband card so I downloaded the disc to the laptop, which went throught with no problems. Once done, I double clicked on the icon to launch the internet and I get this error: Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library. I've tried uninstalling, reinstalling and rebooting laptop with no success. I'm at a standstill and really starting to dislike Vista a great deal.

Please help with any suggestions!

Hi Timica,

can you try right click on the icon and select Run As Administrator from the popup menu.

If this does not work. Uninstall the software. Then reinstall by right clicking on the setup icon and again selecting Run As Administrator from the menu,
