Vista, wireless router and Ericsson W35

I have a Ericsson W35 wireless router at home. My wife's laptop automatically connects (Windows 7) to W35, my BB9380 curve touch automatically connects to W35, as well as various visitors using different hardware automatically connect to W35. My Dell Inspiron 1521 laptop with Vista Home Premium SP2 will only connect with limited connectivity. Password settings are correct. Can it be a Vista problem? (My laptop connects at work no problem.)
