Un-Group Folders/Files as default

I use Vista Home Premium, SP-2.
How do I make the system default to NOT group files & folders by date. (No grouping at all!!)
Every once in a while, I make that selection everywhere I can find in Vista; but after while she reverts to the "group"-option.
