I read somewhere that it could be RAM so I took a look. There is a 2GB and a 1GB stick in the computer. I first took out the 1GB and tried the 2GB in both slots and the same thing happened. I then removed the 2GB and tried the 1GB in both slots and the computer screen would only stay black. I put the 2GB back in and left the 1GB out and then tried running the system recovery discs and came up with a message (error:10-FC12-045D). Then a message came up saying windows failure to start. And finally windows memory diagnostic came up. I tested the 2GB stick and it was fine. Put the both in and then it froze. Sometime around then I got another code 0x8007030B. Both of the errors were memory issues. I put a new HD in the computer with only the 2GB stick and system restore worked fine. After that was all set I put both memory sticks in and then I got an error again. Now I put the old HD in and have only the 2GB stick in and am trying to install the OS. Could it be possible that both the HD and 1GB RAM were faulty? If so, what would cause something like this? Thanks
