Can't open unzipped files
Hello. I've searched this forum a few times and I don't see any posts that address my problem so here it is:
Vista gives me the option to extract all when I right click on a zipped file, then produces a new icon that looks like an unzipped file. But when I try to open the new file all it contains is...the original zipped file. If I try to open that, I get the "Compressed folder is invalid" message. I downloaded 7zip, but it does the same thing. The files are assignments from a GIS class (which I will fail if I can't fix this problem) and no one else in the class seems to be having any trouble opening the assignments.
Please help!
