Microsoft office not working

I am using MS Word 2007 and I get the "Microsoft Office Word has
stopped
working" when I try to open any of my documents or when I try to open
the program from the start menu.
The operating system is MS Windows Vista
I tried editting my registry for Word, changing Data to OldData and
Options
to OldOptions but this did not help. There is no Addins entry.
When I go to Word Options and attempt to select Add-Ins, I get the
same
"Microsoft Office Word has stopped working" error.
This is not a trial version of Word. It came pre-loaded with Microsoft
Office 2007.

I would try and re-install Word.

This should put everything back in place,

Hi all,

Out of desperation, I just dropped my MS Office installation CD back in, then chose "repair" out of the options available. Fif**** minutes and one reboot later, I was back in business.

SOOOOO aggravating... Windows Vista... arrgh.
