Increase C drive size using Vista only

Hi all,
I found and used a solution that's in a Vista news group on this board, I am putting link in this group as it seems appropriate here.

Set a default installation drive or increase size of C: drive?

My post is No10. Jerry U's post with his solution(that I used) is No9. I added a few notes of my own that I hope also may help anyone trying to do similar.

My OS on my laptop is Vista Home Basic so I don't know about higher Vista's but expect it's similar for them.
