Vista SP2 Auto-Scroll Problem

Hi,

I am new to this forum and greatly appreciate finding it. Vista has
aggravated me since its inception.

My recent hemorroid is that the wireless mouse will auto-scroll to the
bottom of whatever I am trying to scroll to. For example, if I go to the volume control and raise the volume, the volume bar automagically scrolls down to the bottom off position and will not remain at the level I want.

This happens in every case.

I did perform and virus scan with no hits. I am not ruling that out but thought I would start here.
