Help Needed To Compress

I have a folder with audio and video content that I am wanting to attach to an email.
The folder and all its contents are about 2gb in size and I tried compressing but its still the same size and I can't send it.
Is there another way?
How can I reduce the folder size so that it can be emailed?

Yes, of course there is a solution. For what you need now is a program that can do all those compressing, splitting, etc, all in one. I am recommending you winrar. I am using it myself as well. Works like a charm for me. And plus more, it is free. All you need to do is right click the file you want to compress, click “add to archive” and in the general Tab, there is an option that says split to volume, bytes. All you need to do is adjust the size per file that you desire.
