Vista cannot 'see' my DV camera on either firewire or USB... HELP!

I have a beautiful PanasonicNV-MX500 3CCD video camera.

Vista will not accept a proper connection to this camera.

Has anyone got the 'fixed' Vista drivers, either USB or firewire?
