It would appear that some people have not figured out how to record 'What U Hear' audio with Vista. Even some programs purporting to do it don't seem to work. Fortunately the Vista sidebar has a little gadget called 'Easy Audio Capture' that works a charm and records in various media types.
I recommend it's use. You will be surprised how easy it is ...... and for free too.
Just a point - this gadget seems to interfere with other things so I recommend that you unload it from the sidebar when done. It is easily re-added to the sidebar as required.
