Num Lock and Remote Desktop
I have a Vista PC that I regularly log into using remote desktop from a laptop computer (that runs XP). With my old desktop XP PC, when I remoted in, the num lock would disable (there is no 10-key section on the laptop). When I logged onto the desktop PC at the console, the num lock would re-enable and the number keys would work properly.
The Vista PC disables the num lock when I log on from the laptop. When I log onto the console, the num lock is enabled until the computer unlocks after entering my password. As soon as the desktop appears, the num lock disables and I have to manually press the num lock key to enable it.
Is there a setting somewhere that will allow me to force the num lock to disable when remoting in and re-enable it (or keep it enabled) automatically when I return to the console?
Thanks in advance.
