Backup software

Hello,

Could someone kindly help point me in the direction of a backup software solution for Windows which will accommodate my following requirements? I am desperate for someone's expertise on this.

- Will backup daily
- Will backup to an external desktop HDD
- Will backup an entire HDD so I can use it to restore the computer back to an identical condition
- Will make space for scheduled backups by deleting as few of the the oldest backups on the external media as possible
- Will backup incrementally to save wasting disk space
- Will easily indicate if there has been a problem with a scheduled backup, when visiting the software's home screen.

I have tried Norton Ghost, and found that when it runs out of space on the backup media, although with storage optimization enabled, it simply fails to run/save scheduled backups.

I'm using Acronis True image home 2009 on a Vista 64 comp.. It does what you are asking for.

Thanks for this, yes, i don't like true image, though, i prefer ghost.
