Connecting Sky TV box to Windows Media Center

Hi everyone,

My wife has had endless trouble trying to successfully connect our Sky digital TV box to our new Windows media center software!

We have had a lot of conflicting advice as to whether this is indeed possible or not?! (Due mainly, we guess, to Sky's inbuilt security/blocks in order to force the public into buying Sky+ boxes?)

We are now pretty convinced these should be compatible as we have managed to get a clear Sky fed picture in our media center, however it is black & white and with no sound! (despite the fact that all the relevant volume settings are on)

If anyone out there has experienced similar problems in setting up this software, or has any advice relating to this situation, your help would be greatly appreciated.

hi there

i can get sound by connecting the red and white wires from a scart cable to ur pc and sky box. but the problem im getting is the picture is in black and white any suggestions
